Soccer Game Preview: Klein vs. Magnolia

The Klein Bearkats will head out on the road to face off against the Magnolia Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Klein's last five matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Klein is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Tomball Memorial on Friday. Klein fell just short of Tomball Memorial by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that the Bearkats have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Magnolia kept a clean sheet against Magnolia West on Friday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Mustangs 1-0. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bulldogs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 442nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 118th).

Magnolia picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 6-8-1. As for Klein, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-4.

Klein suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Magnolia when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Klein avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
