Monroe-Woodbury played in conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They came out on top against the Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks by a score of 60-51. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crusaders.

When it comes to explaining why Newburgh Free Academy lost, don't look at Terrinashjae 'TT' Burden. Despite the final result, she posted 15 points along with four steals and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kallie McCoy, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 boards.

Monroe-Woodbury has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Newburgh Free Academy, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
