Basketball Recap: Kyle Aulgur's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mid-Missouri Homeschool over Oklahoma F

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 50-39 to the Oklahoma F Flame. While losing is never fun, the Mavericks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 212th in Missouri, while the Flame are ranked 58th in Oklahoma).

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyle Aulgur, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. Aulgur has been hot, having posted nine or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kaden Hayes, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 23-15. As for Oklahoma F, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 30-7.

Looking ahead, Mid-Missouri HomeSchool and Omaha R will face off at 3:50 p.m. on Thursday without much rest, having both just played. Oklahoma F does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
