Softball Game Preview: Steelville Cardinals vs. Dixon Bulldogs

The Steelville Cardinals are taking a road trip to face off against the Dixon Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Steelville is looking for their season's first victory.

Steelville is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They lost 12-4 to Bourbon on Wednesday.

Steelville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was GracieMae Boone, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Those stolen bases were Boone's first of the season. Another was Aaleigha Decker, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Dixon started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Licking. They took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Wednesday. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row dating back to last season.

Steelville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Dixon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
