Basketball Recap: Maimonides M-Cats vs. Prospect Hill Academy
The Maimonides M-Cats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 55-31 defeat at the hands of Prospect Hill Academy. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Maimonides of the 61-51 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Maimonides still got an impressive performance from Leah Kaplan, who scored 15 points. That was a full 48.4% of Maimonides' points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Maimonides' defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-5. As for Prospect Hill Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Maimonides will be playing in front of their home fans against the Legends at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Neighborhood House Charter is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Prospect Hill Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
