Baseball Recap: Ben Davis' Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contest, Ben Davis brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They blew past the Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter Raiders 14-2 on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Giants as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Derek Douglas made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Douglas was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Isaiah Peterson-Pruitt was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinton Gildon, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Ben Davis lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Ben Davis' win bumped their record up to 5-16. As for Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.
