Trumbull won the last time they faced Staples and things went their way on Monday too. The Eagles came out on top against the Wreckers by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 19-25, 25-13, 25-14.

Aryan Gautam paced Trumbull's offense, picking up 22 kills. Gautam got some help from Owen Tosh and his 28 assists. Tosh also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Dean Chamberlin, racking up three apiece.

Trumbull's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Staples, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Trumbull didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Hall on the 15th. As for Staples, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Darien on the 17th.
