Football Recap: Arickaree Takes a Loss

Arickaree was the 68-28 winner over Peetz when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bison were outmatched by the Bulldogs and fell 50-20. The Bison were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-6.

Despite the loss, Arickaree still got an impressive performance from Austin Wright, who rushed for 255 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. Wright also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up two sacks and making 11 total tackles.

Arickaree is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Peetz, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Arickaree will square off against Idalia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bison will need to watch out since the Wolves have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Peetz, they will take on North Park at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
