Recap: Chamblee Bulldogs vs. Towers Titans
The Chamblee Bulldogs waltzed into Saturday's match with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Towers by a score of 80-72. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chamblee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Starr, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds. Starr has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Simeon Stephens was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Towers' lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Domyius Mcfarland, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds. Mcfarland is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mekyrius Miller, who scored 16 points along with 8 rebounds.
Chamblee is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Towers, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
Chamblee will be playing in front of their home fans against Carver at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Carver is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Towers, they will head out on the road to face off against Callaway at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
