Oak Forest had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Solorio on Thursday. The Bengals were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Sun Warriors. Considering the Bengals have won 16 matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Oak Forest's fourth in a row) raised their record to 21-11-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Solorio, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Forest will venture away from home to face off against Kenwood at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Solorio, they will head out to take on Oak Lawn at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
