Baseball Recap: Central Decatur Takes a Loss

Central Decatur managed to slip by Wayne the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cardinals came up short against the Falcons on Thursday, falling 18-10. Even if the Cardinals couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Central Decatur dropped their record down to 2-12 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Wayne, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Central Decatur has already played their next matchup, a 26-0 defeat against Mount Ayr on the 20th. As for Wayne, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 16-9 loss against Southwest Valley on the 20th.
