Volleyball Recap: Springville Red Devils vs. Box Elder Bees
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Springville had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Box Elder Bees, sneaking past 2-1.
Evan Straw paced Springville's offense, picking up 12 kills. Straw got some help from Reis Brothers and his 26 assists. Straw was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.
Springville has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Box Elder, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-8 record this season.
Springville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Salem Hills on the 10th. Box Elder does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
