Volleyball Recap: Amador Valley Takes a Loss

Amador Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Monterey Dores. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dons of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Amador Valley's loss dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Monterey, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.

Amador Valley and Monterey should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Dons will challenge Sequoia at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (41 vs. 318). Meanwhile, Monterey (ranked 146th) will meet Seaside (ranked 396th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
