The scorekeeper got an easy start on Sunday as neither Winthrop nor Medford made it on the board until the ninth inning. The Vikings skirted past the Mustangs 4-3.

Winthrop's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12-1. As for Medford, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winthrop will venture away from home to take on Marblehead at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Medford, they will head out to face off against Everett at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs are facing the Crimson Tide at the right time seeing as the Crimson Tide are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
