Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Perry Central's Winning Streak

After a string of six wins, Perry Central's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Forest Park Rangers by a score of 3-2. Commodores fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Rangers since Tuesday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Perry Central sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 22-25, 29-27, 16-25, 15-12.

Masen Labhart paced Perry Central's offense, picking up 20 kills. Labhart really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 25. Bryn Yeager controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Felecia Eckert was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 15 digs and two assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in August.

Perry Central's defeat dropped their record down to 20-5. As for Forest Park, they pushed their record up to 18-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Perry Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Heritage Hills on the 25th. As for Forest Park, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Washington on the 25th.
