Football Recap: Merrimack Takes a Loss

Merrimack faced Nashua South in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Tomahawks were beaten by the Purple Panthers 51-16. The Tomahawks haven't had much luck with the Purple Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Merrimack's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Nashua South, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Merrimack will look to defend their home field on Friday against Alvirne at 6:30 p.m. As for Nashua South, they will head out to challenge Pinkerton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
