Volleyball Recap: Oliver Springs Comes Up Short

Oliver Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Eagleton College & Career Academy Royals. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Royals from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Oliver Springs took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 20-25, 24-26, 25-21, 15-10.

Oliver Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Oliver Springs will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Karns at 6:30 p.m. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against South-Doyle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
