Volleyball Recap: Trona Comes Up Short

Trona lost against Lancaster Baptist back in August of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tornadoes came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-20, 25-12.

Lancaster Baptist's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isabel Alvarez led the charge by getting seven kills and four aces.

Trona's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lancaster Baptist, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2.

After both having extra time off, Trona and Mojave will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The contest will give the Tornadoes their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Lancaster Baptist, they will host Faith Baptist at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
