Basketball Recap: Mason City Comes Up Short

On Monday, the Mason City Mohawks were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to the Algona Bulldogs.

Mason City's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6. As for Algona, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3.

Mason City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-42 victory against Waterloo East on the 4th. As for Algona, they will take on Hampton-Dumont/CAL at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
