Baseball Game Preview: Williamstown Demons vs. Ludlow Panthers

Williamstown is 0-5 against Ludlow since March of 2022 but things could change on Thursday. The Demons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Williamstown has given up an average of 10.4 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Williamstown's offense. They lost 12-0 to Simon Kenton on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Ludlow came into Tuesday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Holmes with a sharp 15-7 win on Tuesday.

Jackson Mays was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Miller Reed, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Williamstown's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Ludlow, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.

Williamstown suffered a grim 18-6 defeat to Ludlow in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Demons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
