Football Recap: San Marcos Piles Up the Points Against Fillmore

While San Marcos put up plenty of points on Thursday, the same can't be said for Fillmore. The Royals breezed past the Flashes to the tune of 46-0. Considering the Royals have won six contests by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

San Marcos didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Scarlett Holian and Rio Chesluk.

San Marcos' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 0.0 points on average over those games. As for Fillmore, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, San Marcos will head out to take on Oxnard at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fillmore, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 40-0 defeat against Westlake on the 23rd.
