Hunter waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Cyprus Pirates. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-23, 25-13, 18-25, 25-14.

Despite the defeat, Cyprus saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Zion Odejinmi had nine assists and eight digs.

Hunter's victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Cyprus, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-17.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Hunter will square off against rival Kearns at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cyprus is set to challenge their familiar foe Granger at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
