Basketball Game Preview: Muhlenberg County Mustangs vs. Todd County Central Rebels

The Muhlenberg County Mustangs will take on the Todd County Central Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Thursday, Muhlenberg County came up short against Livingston Central and fell 61-49. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Izzy Wilkins, who posted 12 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Brinly Sparks, who earned ten points.

Meanwhile, Todd County Central came into Friday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They claimed a resounding 64-33 win over Russellville. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Panthers are ranked 229th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Muhlenberg County's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Todd County Central, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
