Volleyball Recap: Platte County Picks Up Sixth Straight Win on the Road

Platte County won the last time they faced Raytown and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pirates put the hurt on the Bluejays with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Platte County was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-18, 25-16.

Miah Omoike paced Platte County's offense, picking up 11 kills. Omoike got some help from Ella Cruce and her 20 assists. Cruce was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Platte County's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. As for Raytown, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3 record.

Looking ahead, Platte County will be taking part in a tournament against Seaman at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Raytown, they are taking a road trip to take on Oak Park at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
