Chisholm Trail had won six straight home games dating back to last season and Keaton Rose did his part to make it seven on Friday. The Rangers walked away with a 27-17 win over the Saginaw Rough Riders thanks in part to Rose, who threw for 212 yards and three TDs on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 49 yards and one score. His passing game has become a key predictor of Chisholm Trail's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise.

Chisholm Trail's leading receiver Montez Roberts was Rose's top target yet again, picking up 62 receiving yards and one touchdown. Roberts also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making two total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging two interceptions.

Chisholm Trail didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Roberts.

Chisholm Trail's record is now 7-3. As for Saginaw, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-3.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Chisholm Trail will challenge Ryan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rangers will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. As for Saginaw, they will square off against Aledo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bearcats will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
