North Central III (8 Man) recap Oct. 3, 2012
Mendocino extended the longest winning streak in North Central III (8 Man) this week by beating Rincon Valley Christian, 60-12. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Laytonville took down Round Valley 86-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Russel Kaser threw for 116 yards and four touchdowns in the win.
DeWayne Arnold was the best wideout in the league this week as Potter Valley beat Anderson Valley. Arnold racked up three receptions for 95 yards. Willie Kile helped Potter Valley's passing attack out by catching five balls for 55 yards.
Dustin Woolley provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Bearcats bested the Panthers. He completed nine passes for 178 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 308 yards.
5-foot-5 quarterback Kaser of the Warriors is the league leader in passing yards this season with 546. He has also thrown 11 touchdowns. On the ground, Potter Valley's Woolley has rushed for 587 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Cavin Hawkins. The Rincon Valley Christian star has 11 catches for 212 yards.
A big matchup in North Central III (8 Man) this week will be when Jeff Adams's team takes on Mendocino. The Bearcats are currently in fourth, while Theron Miller's team is in first.
Potter Valley made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 790 from 890. The advance stemmed from a 60-34 victory over Anderson Valley last week.
