 With a playoff game on the line, Northwest Rankin rose to the challenge  on Friday. They beat the Harrison Central Red Rebels by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  2-0. The  win was just business as usual For Northwest Rankin, who after 28 games remain undefeated  this season.
 Not much got past  Jolie Hays, who gave up just  three  hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Harrison Central off the board. Hays has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in eight consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, Northwest Rankin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Grace Wallis, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Northwest Rankin pushed their record up to 28-0 with that  victory, which was their 32nd straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Harrison Central, they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 15-13-1.
 Northwest Rankin will have a chance to go back-to-back against Harrison Central: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
