Basketball Recap: Upland Takes a Loss

Upland lost against Crescenta Valley back in November of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Upland Highlanders/Scots took a 58-43 bruising from the Crescenta Valley Falcons. The Highlanders/Scots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vaughn Zargarian was his usual excellent self, putting up 30 points and six boards for Crescenta Valley. The contest was Zargarian's 14th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Sahagian, who posted 13 points and six rebounds.

Upland's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Crescenta Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Upland won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against La Salle at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Crescenta Valley, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Burroughs at 6:45 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
