Soccer Game Preview: Galena Park vs. Westbury

The Galena Park Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to challenge the Westbury Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Galena Park's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Westbury's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Galena Park is headed into the matchup having not lost since January 2 and will look to keep things rolling. Their defense stepped up to hand Sharpstown a 2-0 shutout on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Apollos: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Westbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Sharpstown, falling 4-0. That's two games in a row now that the Huskies have lost by exactly four goals.

Galena Park's win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Westbury, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything went Galena Park's way against Westbury in their previous matchup back in February, as Galena Park made off with a 9-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Galena Park since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
