 After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Cheyenne finally came back down to earth  on Wednesday. They wound up on the wrong side of a  rough 15-0 walloping at the hands of the Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights. Cheyenne was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mater Academy East Las Vegas apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in March of 2023.
 For Mater Academy East Las Vegas' part,  Camryn Reyes was a major factor no matter where she played. She  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Reyes was even better at the plate,  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances with a  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs.
 In other batting news, Mater Academy East Las Vegas let  Dezrie Gomez and  Amzi Varela loose on the outfield. Gomez  went 1-for-2 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple, while  Varela  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2. Varela has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played.  Beyonce Felix was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-2.

As for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight games,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record  this season.
 Cheyenne will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Virgin Valley at 2:30  p.m. Virgin Valley is coming into the  contest with seven straight  wins on the road,  so Cheyenne will have to stop a  team with plenty of momentum. As for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, they will  face off against Democracy Prep Agassi Campus at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. Mater Academy East Las Vegas is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 11.1  runs per game  this season.
