Softball Recap: Cle Elum-Roslyn's Winning Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Cle Elum-Roslyn dropped their record down to 9-4 on Friday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins. They lost 15-5 to the Nooksack Valley Pioneers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered since March 12th.

Chyane Thornton made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

As for Nooksack Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3. Considering they have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

On Nooksack Valley's side, Shelby Mason was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Mason has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzie Likkel, who went 1-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Cle Elum-Roslyn didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 28-3 victory against White Swan on the 19th. As for Nooksack Valley, they have also already played their next match, an 8-4 win against Hoquiam on the 19th.
