Basketball Game Preview: Rochester Rams vs. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers

The Rochester Rams will challenge the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rochester is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Rochester is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Union Area on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Rochester had to suffer through a 55-26 loss at the hands of Union Area. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-14.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart beat Shenango 57-52 on Tuesday. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 355th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rochester's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Rochester suffered a grim 71-49 defeat to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Rochester avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
