Basketball Recap: Highland Park Comes Up Short

Highland Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 45-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clarendon Broncos. The Hornets were not able to make up for their loss to the Broncos from their previous meeting back in February of 2020.

Highland Park's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Clarendon, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-8.

Highland Park will welcome Panhandle at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Panhandle knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Highland Park likes a good challenge. As for Clarendon, they will venture away from home to take on Memphis at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
