Herscher has gone 6-1 against Centennial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Tigers will head out to square off against the Chargers at 12:30 p.m. One thing working in Herscher's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three games.

Herscher's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Streator/Woodland with a sharp 8-0 victory. Herscher haven't had any issues with Streator/Woodland recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Centennial entered their tilt with Monticello on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Sages. Give Centennial's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Alicia Fernandez was the driving force of Centennial's attack as she scored both of Centennial's goals, bringing her season total up to nine goals.

Centennial pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three contests. As for Herscher, their win bumped their record up to 6-0-1.

Everything went Herscher's way against Centennial in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, as Herscher made off with an 8-0 victory. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chargers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
