Basketball Recap: Holden Takes a Loss

Holden suffered their closest loss since December 9, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Simpson Broncos by a score of 62-59. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-36 back in November of 2024.

Holden's defeat dropped their record down to 14-18. As for Simpson, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-22.

Looking ahead, Holden will face off against Northlake Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Simpson, it'll be an old-fashioned rodeo when the Broncos duke it out with the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hackberry will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Simpson surely won't give up without a fight.
