Kingsway faced Steinert in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Dragons had just enough and edged out the Spartans 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Dragons have posted since May 11, 2024.

Kingsway pushed their record up to 17-0 with the victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 8.1 runs thus far. As for Steinert, they moved to 14-2 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.
