Football Game Preview: McKinley vs. East Ascension

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for East Ascension. They will challenge McKinley on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.

East Ascension were averaging 38.14 points per game entering their contest last Friday, but they just couldn't find their rhythm against Catholic-B.R.. East Ascension suffered a grim 3-35 defeat to Catholic-B.R. East Ascension's defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, we expected McKinley to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked St. Amant, and they did. McKinley found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-39 punch to the gut against St. Amant. This makes it the second loss in a row for McKinley.

With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the victory. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
