Softball Recap: Fort Vancouver Comes Up Short

If Fort Vancouver was riding high fresh off their 23-3 takedown of Hudson's Bay on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fort Vancouver Trappers fell just short of the Hudson's Bay Eagles by a score of 16-15 on Friday. The Trappers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 23-3.

Fort Vancouver's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hudson's Bay, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Vancouver will venture away from home to take on Columbia at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hudson's Bay, they will head out on the road to square off against Heritage at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
