Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Heritage's Winning Streak

Heritage suffered their biggest defeat since September 11th on Saturday. They lost 3-0 to the Loveland Red Wolves. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Heritage was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Loveland work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 29-27, 25-21.

Madeline Pyne paced Heritage's offense, picking up nine kills. Pyne got some help from Maddy Davis and her 11 assists. Finally, Aubrie Titus kept Heritage's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Loveland, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Heritage and Loveland will both be playing Mountain Vista the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Golden Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Red Wolves will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
