Basketball Recap: Wrightstown Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Wrightstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 68-57 to the Oconto Falls Panthers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (55), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Oconto Falls found their leader in sophomore Jj Pytleski, who went 7 for 9 en route to 21 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Evan Yuma, who posted eight points along with seven assists and six boards.

Wrightstown's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-7. As for Oconto Falls, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wrightstown will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Denmark at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st. Oconto Falls has already played their next game (against Freedom), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
