Jaiden Oldwin put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March of 2024 on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Vacaville is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise.

Oldwin's strong effort led Vacaville over Wood and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Vacaville is a perfect 10-0 against Wood going back to April of 2022, a lead they'll look to extend.
