Volleyball Recap: Scales Mound's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Scales Mound had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They came out on top against the River Ridge Wildcats by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Scales Mound took both sets by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-14.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Scales Mound to victory, but perhaps none more so than Campbell Hereau, who had 14 assists and one block. Hereau is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

River Ridge's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was AVA KETELSEN, who had seven digs and one block. Another player making a difference was KENLEY PATTERSON, who had five kills and four digs.

Scales Mound's win bumped their record up to 15-10. As for River Ridge, their defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-19-1.

Scales Mound wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Galena on the 16th. As for River Ridge, they have also already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Rockford East on the 18th.
