Softball Recap: Rancho Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Coronado, Rancho was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Clark Chargers, sneaking past 2-1. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Annalise Stout, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Rancho's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Clark, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7-1.

Looking ahead, Rancho will square off against Durango at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trailblazers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.71 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Clark, they will challenge Cimarron-Memorial at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 10.2 runs per game this season.
