Basketball Game Preview: Wheeler Wildcats vs. Dalton Catamounts

The Wheeler Wildcats will challenge the Dalton Catamounts at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Wheeler will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Wheeler faced off against Lakeview Academy on Monday. The Wildcats walked away with a 53-43 victory over the Lions.

Wheeler's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cailyn Landrew, who shot 41% from the field to rack up 24 points along with five boards and three steals. Those 24 points gave Landrew a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmine James, who went 7-for-17 on her way to 18 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Dalton made easy work of Paulding County on Friday and carried off a 52-27 victory. With the Catamounts ahead 39-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Wheeler's record now sits at 3-1. As for Dalton, their record is now 2-0.
