Dayspring Christian Academy waltzed into their matchup on Monday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came out on top against the Wiggins Tigers by a score of 7-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Gage Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Josiah Rodriguez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, one stolen base, and one run. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Logan Vaniddekinge, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Dayspring Christian Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Wiggins, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

As of now, neither Dayspring Christian Academy nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
