Cuba/Spoon River Valley entered their tilt with West Prairie on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Cyclones. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Cyclones walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Cuba/Spoon River Valley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-23, 25-15.

Grace Yaste paced Cuba/Spoon River Valley's offense, picking up nine kills. Yaste got some help from Kacie White and her 11 assists. Yaste also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Mollie Cornell, racking up two apiece.

Cuba/Spoon River Valley's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for West Prairie, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-9.

Looking ahead, Cuba/Spoon River Valley will face off against Havana at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Prairie, they will host Elmwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
