Acadiana proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 21) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Southside Sharks 17-14. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Sharks recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Collin Dibetta threw for 53 yards on only five passes. Travis Gallien was his top target, picking up 30 receiving yards. On the ground, Dion Simon rushed for 113 yards and a pair of TDs.

Acadiana's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Southside, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Acadiana will head out to face off against Sam Houston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will be up against the Broncos' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Southside, they will venture away from home to challenge Carencro at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Sharks will need to watch out since the Bears have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.
