The Fleming County Panthers will head out to face off against the Fort Walton Beach Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fleming County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Fleming County's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Wednesday's struggle, when Crestview hitters got past them. The Panthers lost 17-9 to the Bulldogs on Wednesday. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Austin Robertson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. Fleming County is 2-1 when Robertson posts two or more runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Preston Cropper was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Fort Walton Beach posted their closest victory since February 21st on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Mason County 4-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Fort Walton Beach saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Job, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another was Kadon Chapman, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Fleming County's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Fort Walton Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.
