Softball Recap: Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels vs. Juniata Valley Hornets

Moshannon Valley extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 4-9 in the process. They lost 11-2 to the Juniata Valley Hornets. The Black Knights/Damsels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 6-4.

Annabeth Anderson was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and nine unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run.
