Moshannon Valley extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 4-9 in the process. They lost 11-2 to the Juniata Valley Hornets. The Black Knights/Damsels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 6-4.

Annabeth Anderson was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and nine unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run.
Anderson wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kylee O'Donnell, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. O'Donnell has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
As for Juniata Valley, they moved to 6-7-1 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
On Juniata Valley's side, Braelyn Hall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up ten Ks.
At the plate, Kassidy Watson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Klohie Brown was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Looking ahead, Moshannon Valley will welcome Northern Cambria at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Juniata Valley, they will face off against West Branch at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
