Mill Valley faced Blue Valley West in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Mill Valley sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Blue Valley West. The victory was familiar territory for Mill Valley, who have now won eight contests in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Mill Valley got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-18, 19-25, 25-11.

Leading Mill Valley to victory were Haedyn Lynnes and Skylar Kluck. Lynnes had 14 digs and four assists, while Kluck had six digs and three aces. Those four assists gave Lynnes a new career-high.

Mill Valley's win bumped their record up to 23-4. As for Blue Valley West, with the defeat, they broke their seven-match winning streak and moved their record to 23-3.

Mill Valley has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Marquette on the 11th. As for Blue Valley West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Blue Valley Southwest on the 11th.
